Baptism Sunday Christian Web Banner

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of Catoma Baptist Church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Catoma Baptist members are involved in a variety of ministries from things such as taking care of the church vehicles, keeping the nursery, visiting those in the hospital.

Mission Outreach

Catoma Baptist Church is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. We are active in supporting missionaries with our money and with our prayers. Each year around Easter we support Annie Armstrong and then at Christmas we support the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.

Music Ministry

God-honoring worship is something we strive for.  We have a Children's Choir (for children through 6th grade) and also an adult choir (13 years old through our Senior Adults.)  Many church members get involved in our music ministry. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of Catoma Baptist Church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.

Ushers

The usher team at Catoma Baptist Church fills an important role. They are involved in welcoming and assisting in the seating of members and guests during the services, pass out church bulletins, as well as assist the pastor as needed.

Media & Technology

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of Catoma Baptist Church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes.  Currently we use powerpoint during the service in the sanctuary and the youth have added the use of powerpoint in their Youth Room.

Children’s Church

In order to give our children the best Bible teaching possible, Catoma Baptist offers children’s church for children age 3 years old through 2nd grade.  This special time gives kids more opportunity for interaction and learning in a context and manner that may be better suited to their age and learning styles.   The children meet in the sanctuary for part of the Morning Service and are then dismissed after the choir's special music.
